How the Get Fit Challenge Works
To participate in the Get Fit Challenge, click on the HOME button at the top and scroll down to choose which challenge to register for
If you are manually entering your minutes, please have them submitted by 5 pm each Monday.
For those manually entering minutes, what counts as "physical activity?"
Cardiorespiratory physical activity should be moderate or vigorous. If you are unsure, always refer to the Talk Test.
Report minutes of cardiorespiratory physical activity you determine to be moderate or high intensity using the above definitions. An additional explanation of what counts as physical activity can be found here.
Let us know of any physical activity opportunities that 1) you coordinate and want to share and 2) are open to participants in the Challenge by contacting us through this website. These physical activity opportunities can be forming a kickball league, an after school P90X class, a walking club, etc. All submissions will be displayed on this webpage under Share an Activity. Remember—be creative and submit as many opportunities as you can!

- If you have used Challenge Runner before, login using your email address and password
- If you are new to Challenge Runner, fill out the New Member information form and click Register
- Once you are in Challenge Runner:
- Join the 2018 WNC Get Fit Steps Challenge if you will be syncing a fitness tracker
- Join the 2018 WNC Get Fit Minutes Challenge if you will be manually entering your physical activity minutes

- Low Intensity: You can sing or talk comfortably while being physically active.
- Moderate Intensity: You can carry on a conversation (but it is strained) while being physically active.
- High Intensity: You have difficulty speaking while being physically active.
